Freeze branding is a technique in which a super-cold branding iron properly applied to the animal's hide kills the pigment producing cells. The result is that white or colorless hair grows at the brand site. Freeze branding is effective on both cattle and horses and in some instances on swine. The main advantage of freeze branding is that the brand is easily read at any time of the year. L & H makes the most complete line of freeze branders. available from 1/2" to 6" in height. These irons have ample weight and temperature holding capacity to allow more livestock to be branded in less time. Special design custom brands are available.
